With a passion for compelling storytelling, Alvin Sun a cinematographer based in Toronto prides himself on building lasting collaborations and the pursuit of crafting striking visuals and engaging content. He has worked in the narrative, commercial, music video and corporate industries of film.

 

Alvin has spent 10 years in the film industry, beginning as a Gaffer, Key Grip and Camera Assistant to learn how to paint with light and the technical art of filmmaking before becoming cinematographer.

 

His most recent work is shooting the second season of Space Dragon and Kim for Shaftesbury Kids, as well as the second season of My Roommate's An Escort on Facebook. He collaborated with director Shetu Modi on her short film The Pits and culminated in winning The HBO Short Film Award.
